Acts of Vestry
June 2004
Vestry members took the following actions during their June 2004 meeting:
-
Declared the sense of the Vestry that the Wardens and Treasurer should look into reporting expenditures for Honduras as outreach. Because this
spending is accounted for off-line, it means that St. Mark’s outreach spending does not look as large as it really is.
-
Accepted a proposed contract with Green Maintenance, with the addition of $ 6,600 for additional work.
-
Confirmed an earlier electronic vote electing John Barton for a term of three years and Raiford Gaffney to a term of two years as delegates to
the Diocesan Convention and Regional Assembly.
-
Heard the report of the Task Force on Definition of Membership. The report was intended to align membership policy with the practice of open
communion at St. Mark’s. Implementation would entail a revision of the by-laws, including a change in the provisions concerning Christian
Education. The proposal was to be presented to the Pillars meeting in July.
